Tai The Rapper follows up from 2018’s “Passion” with a 7-track EP titled, “Life Hurts Sometimes.” It’s an impassioned sequel to his debut tape, which also serves as a counter-narrative to it. On “Passion,” he raps more about the relentless pursuit of your dreams; while on “Life Hurts Sometimes,” he acknowledges the actually difficulty of this process. Whether it’s anxiety (“Pain [Intro]”), anxiety (“Headspace”) or regret (“Regrets”), Tai comes to terms with his reality on his sophomore project. It’s a project for the creative, by a creative, and provokes thought and insight.
