WanangwawaCiuta Phiri Rhema (born 2nd April 1998) Known Professionally as Chewie 024 (Zambia’s Trapstar) is a talented artist/song writer known for he’s eccentric vocal styles, he is spontaneous and always looking to tap into his inner creativity. Chewie aims to reach the masses through his God given vocal abilities. His music reflects who he is, fun, energetic and joyful.
Chewies passion for music constantly drives him to become the best and inspire others.
He began his music in 2016 with inspiration coming from diverse and various artists such as Young Thug, Heavy K, Future Hendrix, Mozart and Ice JJ fish. Chewie was often laughed at and criticised for his taste and types of music, which he then used to fuel his passion and create content that he expresses today.
Awarded by AISL (American International School Of Lusaka) for Participation in various projects such as “Model United Nations”. His aim is to to change the Zambian music industry and promote it to a further level by letting people express themselves through their own music and allow a fresh wave of diversity.
Chewie stepped into the lime light way back in 2008 as a presenter on Muvi TV’s “Zed Kids News presenter, with the likes of “Zindabah Mwanza” and “Paul da Prince”. He then later proceeded to Metro Fm as a presenter and DJ on “ICBD”. In 2017 the Trapstar landed on Prime TV’s “Yatu Vibes” as a TV presenter, and shared the light with DJ Malindi and Pmc. He spends he’s leisure time Writing, swimming and designing and watching his beloved series “Brooklyn 99 and Impractical Jokers”. Chewie is an undergraduate at The National Institute Of Public Administration (NIPA) pursuing Public Relations degree.
